ABOUT MAPP The MERIS Application and Regional Products Projects (MAPP) is a joint effort of the Institute for Coastal Research of the GKSS Research Centre, the Institutes for Optoelectronics and Planetary Research of the DLR, the Institute for Space Sciences of the Free University Berlin, and Brockmann Consult. It is funded by the German Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). Aims Based on
the standard Envisat MERIS products supplied by ESA, the MAPP collaboration
aims at providing the German Earth observation and climate research community
with additional, region-specific, and higher-level science products and
services.
The MAPP
data products are generally termed MERIS value-added (MERIS-VA) products.
The scientific algorithms are developed and validated by the research
partners GKSS, FUB and DLR. Regional Coverage The MERIS-VA
products cover total Europe on the full-resolution 300 x 300 m grid. |
