The MERIS Application and Regional Products Projects (MAPP) aims at providing the German Earth observation and climate research community with additional, region-specific, and higher-level Envisat MERIS science products and services.

MERIS Full Resolution data of Europe are acquired in NRT at the national receiving station in Neustrelitz, and regional Level 2 and Level 3 products will be generated operationally. Validation, documentation and user training are important elements of the project aiming at improving the exploitation of MERIS products tailored to German user needs.
