The project HIMOM
has been designed in such a way that products will be available at the
end of the project. These products comprise:
- Scientific publications:
These serve as the basis for dissemination of the results, for scientific
discussion, for future work aiming at improving the elements of the
HMM and are a contribution to the state description of the investigated
intertidal areas.
- HMM
system CD ROM: This is a prototype and demonstrator of the system
of hierarchical monitoring methods used. This HMM system has the potential
to be widely used among coastal management authorities. Even though
the project produces guidelines for implementation in an local application,
the end-users might be interested in obtaining support from an independent
consultant. As an example, the selection of the proper remote sensing
techniques and the identification of the most cost-effective data provider
might be easier with such assistance.
- Benthic
Algae Fluorometer (BALF): The objective is the further development
of a simple portable fluorometer to determine the quantity of benthic
microalgae and the relative species composition (functional groups).
Hansatech, a leading UK company in photosynthetic instruments and producer
of several modulated fluorometers has expressed interest in this product.
- The results from
the seasonal measurements are organised in the HIMOM
iMap, an internet based tool for visualize and exchange the data.
The tool is password protected and and only for project internal use
since now.
- The results of
the SEE
campaign can have been organized in the FORUM, where also comments
and discussion can be added.
