RE: Land/water separation using Boreal Lakes processor
toggle
Hi,

When using the Boreal Lakes processor (in Envisat Beam version 4.8) some of the pixels for water in the lakes are not being processed as they are being thought of as land pixels. Just wondering if anyone knows how to change the expression 'WaterSeparationExpression = toa_reflec_10 > toa_reflec_6 AND toa_reflec_13 > 0.0475' in order for me to obtain chlorophyll values for these water pixels? Thanks for your help

Dear Nicola,

in the latest version of both BEAM and the boreal lakes processor (which is part of the MERIS CASE-2 Regional Processor), the land detection expression is a processing parameter you can edit.

Best regards,

Hi,

Just wondering how to access the boreal lakes processor in Envisat Beam v4.9 as I can only find the C2R processor? I'm using Envisat Beam v4.8 at the moment as I am unable to find the boreal lakes processor in the latest version. Thanks

Dear Nicola,

the boreal lakes processor has been moved into the MERIS CASE-2 Regional Processor. However, if you have the CASE2R installed, you should be able to use the lakes processor via the command line. See here for instructions. Hint: The $Operator.Name you need to use is 'Meris.BorealWater'.

Best regards,
Thomas
