Build from source?
source code
11/4/11 5:48 PM
Hi

I have tried to follow the 'build from source' instructions but 2 successive installations of GIT (different versions) I get an 'unable to connect to github.com' errors.

Do I really need the CERES source if I am just interested in working with source code for a single BEAM module?
Can I just add the necessary libraries instead of building the full source code?

Hi Tom,

did you follow the instructions on this page ?
It was missing on the Build from Source wiki page.
I've now added it.
Probably this resolves the connection problem.

No, you don't need the ceres sources to build beam. And if you use the maven pom.xml file to setup the project in your IDE you will get the dependencies to ceres and other libraries automatically.

best wishes
