Orthorectification and TOC-Veg in VISAT 4.7
toggle
Hi,

I am trying to orthorectify a MERIS FRS dim file to UTM zone 19 nad 83. I have placed the GETASSE30 dem in the following folder C:\Program Files (x86)\beam-4.7-RC1\auxdata\dem\GETASSE30. However, when I go to run my ortho I get the error message that the DEM 'GETASSE30' is not yet installed.

When I run the ortho using elevation from tie-points it completes. Then I try to run the MERIS vegetation Processor TOC I get the error "The requested tie point grid "Latitude" is not found in product." Any suggestions on how to run the TOC-Veg on ortho files.

Thanks,

Lori

Hi Lori

This is an error in out documentation for the GETASSE30 Elevation Model. It should not be installed in the BEAM installation directory but in the .beam/beam-core folder in your user home directory.
So the full path would be in your case C:\Users\Lori\.beam\beam-core\auxdata\dem\GETASSE30.
If you place the elevation model there, it should work.

Regarding the TOC-VEG problem, I can't tell you a work around.
If you do the orthorectification first, the product will loose its tie-point grids and the TOC-VEG processor can't find them any more.
If you do it the other way around, the processed product will loose it's ability to be orthorectified.

The TOC-VEG processor must be extended to handle tie-point grids even if they have turned into bands after reprojection/orthorectification.
I've created for both issues in our issue tracker.

Sorry that I don't have better news for you.
