I think the CHRIS file is not valid. The message says the value of the angle could not be interpreted from the metadata.
You can check in the Metadata section at MPH / Observation_Azimuth_Angle.

Maybe you first ask the data provider why this happened and if there is better data available.

There is only a dirty workaround possible.
You can save the file to BEAM-DIMAP format.
Open the *dim file in a Texteditor and search for Observation_Azimuth_Angle and replace unknown with the value.
But I don't know how you can get this value.
It should look similar as in the screenshot.
