toggle
I want to convert MERIS .N1 file to hdf format. Does anybody know some efficient tools? Thanks.

You can use pconvert for converting products. It is part of the BEAM installation.
But I would recommend that you use SNAP.
As mention of the main page, BEAM is not further developed, but SNAP is its successor.

SNAP Download

Type on the command line
1pconvert -h
to get help.

Thanks for you reply. The format conversion was solved. Now I have a question is that how to reproject all images to Geographic Lat/Lon (WGS84).How should I set parameter -Pcrs for Geographic Lat/Lon (WGS84).

I use the following command line:

gpt Reproject -Pcrs=AUTO:32663 *.N1

the error can be found in attached file

Here is a solution . But I don't understand. https://geonet.esri.com/thread/88968

Thanks for your consideration.

If you want to reproject to Geographic lat/Lon use
1-Pcrs=EPSG:4326
.
That's the EPSG code for it.
The code 32663 is a special UTM zone, and should be used like
1-Pcrs=EPSG:32663
.
If you want BEAM to detect the UTM zone automatically you can do
1-Pcrs=AUTO:42001
.

Marco.Thank you very much.

Now, I have another question. I want to extract band algal_2 and total_susp from the MERIS FRS level 2 product. So run the following code. But it does't work.

1FORFILES /P M:\ImageDirectory /M *.N1 /C "cmd /c M:\TargetDirectory\gpt.bat Subset -PbandNames=(algal_2,total_susp) -f GeoTIFF -t @fname.tif @path"

I think all you need to do is to remove the brackets.
Just: -PbandNames=algal_2,total_susp

Marco. Do you know how to change the output directory for new bands extracted from MERIS FRS level 2?
Thank you.

For pconvert you can specify an output directory by the -o option. For gpt you can only specify the target file with -t, but you use it already. If you want to have separate geotiffs for each file you need to call gpt for each band inidividually.
