sorry for the long delay.

When installing the SMOS-Box Add-on you have to point to the directory of a BEAM installation. The version 2.1.1 works only with BEAM 4.8.
But you can download version 2.1.3 from the SMOS-Box Wiki. This will be compatible with BEAM 4.9.

using plug in for SMOS box 2.1.1

Hi,

I have installed Beam 4.9 and want to install the plug in for SMOS 2.1.1 on my computer with 64-bit windows 7...However, when i try to install the plug in, the error come out :

" this is an add on installer. The directory you have selected doesn't contain the target application. Please choose another one."

So, may I know if there needed to install in specific directory for this plug in?...

Besides that, from my understanding of SMOS characteristics, the data produced is non-imaging..I am wondering if you could guide me to extract the data (SMOS L1C) in my study area and how to interpret the data since there are lots of item...Thank you.
