- Some map projections can not be applied to arbitrary locations on earth.
VISAT does not test, whether a selected map projection is applicable
to a data product's scene. For example, if you try to apply the
projection 'UTM Zone 58' to a MERIS scene of Denmark you'll currently
get an unpredicatable result without beeing notified. - From VISAT 3.0 on, image export as GeoTIFF is supported. However not
all imaging applications interprete the contents of BEAM created GeoTIFFs
correctly. We have tested our GeoTIFFs with ENVI 4.0 and ArcGIS 8.3:Geo-location type ENVI 4.0 ArcGIS 8.3 Geographic Lat/Lon OK OK UTM OK OK Tranverse Mercator OK OK Lambert Conformal Conic OK unknown proj. Satellite CS (tie-points) no coord. no coord.
