Link images shall use currently displayed image setting when a new band is opened

I have a product opened and already two or more bands opened. I have zoomed into a specfic area in that image which I am interested in, and linked the images. Then, I want to inspect another band from that product and I open it. The new image shows the full extend of the product, and because the "link" is activated, also my other images switch to full product view. My zoom and area selection is lost.

My work-around currently is to always remember to switch-off image linking, when I open a new band; after the new image is opened, I give focus back to the previous images (now with my zoom, because I deactivated the link), I click link, and the image also shows the zoom and area I am interested in. I believe that this is usually what users want. So, please make this behaviour the normal way VISAT opens a new band, when linking is activated on other, already opened products.
